Ingredients

  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cups white navy beans, cooked and rinsed
  • ⅓ cup crushed tomatoes
  • 1½ tablespoons fancy molasses
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon halal mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

Step 1

Add water to a medium pot and bring to a boil.

Step 2

Add the onion and simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Stir in the remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

One serving size is approximately ½ cup of beans.
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
Top with fresh parsley for extra flavor!
